NoDAPL Water Protectors hang banner from rafters of Vikings game

Treaties have been broken by the 3.5 billion dollar Dakota Pipeline Project.  The obsolete oil industry seeks to build a pipeline to send oil all the way through North and Central America.  No forethought was given to the stark reality that the pipeline jeopardizes the safety of the Missouri River and some 18 million people who depend on the water source.

On January 1st, 2017, two water protectors climbed up into the rafters of US Bank Stadium to unroll the banner for everyone to see during the entire Bears-Vikings game.  The two men responsible dangled from the rafters during the game next to the banner.  Afterwards, they were charged for gross misdemeanors.  The pipeline was scheduled to be completed on January 1st.
